He ran me through my initial assessment, guided me through bullpens, broke down training concepts, and even vouched for my abilities to other coaches when I needed someone to believe in me. That experience stuck with me so deeply that I reached out to him periodically for the next four years asking if he would train me himself. The answer was always a respectful “no”—until he launched Dean Jackson Pitching Training.

 

The moment I saw that he was offering his own program, I booked a call and committed the same day, cancelling my existing training plans on the spot. It remains one of the best decisions of my career, and one I make again every offseason without hesitation.

 

In my opinion, Dean Jackson is the most knowledgeable person in the world when it comes to the things that truly move the needle for pitchers. And when he doesn’t know the answer to a question, he doesn’t pretend otherwise. He will spend his own time, money, and energy to find the answer, find the person who has it, or determine that no one knows it yet—which is valuable in itself. That level of commitment is rare.

 

I move to Phoenix, AZ every offseason for one simple reason: Dean Jackson is the best person in the world to train with. If I believed someone else had better answers to the questions that actually matter in pitching development, I would go to them. I haven’t found anyone close.
