The following blurb is an oversimplified explanation of the info coverered in the book, but we will get deep into some complex topics. I highly recommend purchasing the option that comes with a 30 minute call with me to go over your notes on the book after you read it so we can make these concepts as crystal clear and applicable to you as quickly as possible. For those who would like to read the material before making the investment of chatting with me, there is an option to purchase a call later (albeit for an upcharge).

This book covers 3 broad topics:

    1. Sustainable Throwing Programs

    2. Shoulder, Scapula, and Thoracic Spine Function

    3. Strength and Conditioning

Put as easy as possible, the Sustainable Throwing Program section will teach you how to measure and control throwing stress to get sustainable velocity improvement, while significantly reducing the risk of extremely costly mistakes.

You'll learn that stress is the key to adaptations, but not all stress is good stress. We'll break down common issues that can cause throwing to be harmful to the athlete.

Strength and Conditioning work should improve the athlete's performance on the field, and we'll discuss the nuances involved in getting an athlete's work in the gym to transfer over to the game.

I've used these strategies to make some of the game's best pitchers better than they've ever been, and help pitchers of all levels achieve things they never thought possible.

    Great Information!

Tons of valuable knowledge that your common college or pro ball coach isn’t going to know the details of. Dean makes the concepts easy to understand and both athletes and coaches will better their own career by learning this information.

Gold Standard to Understanding the Intricacies and Principles of Throwing Training

Framework for a Career of Healthy Throwing guides you to understanding stress, recovery, adaptation and function of the throw. It lays down the ground work to understand how to build the capacity and intensity that you’ll need in the season to be better than before. If the SAID principle & SRA curve are new to you, then I can’t recommend INVESTING in this book and in Dean’s time to fully grasp the concepts and application of the content.
